翻转课堂教学模式对学生英语学习兴趣的影响
近年来在我国信息技术高速发展的情况下,教育界紧随信息化的脚步,正在经历着翻天覆地的变化。翻转课堂教学模式,作为一种创新型教学模式,作为时下最热门的课堂教学模式,引起了教育界的重视和青睐。此种模式在教学的过程中,有利于提升课堂的参与度并且提高学生这种自主学习的能力,从而提高学习英语的兴趣和主动性。以大学高级英语教学为例,通过实证研究,阐述了翻转课堂教学模式对学生英语学习兴趣的影响。同时,通过一些课堂实践的案例,给出了一些建议,也提出了的一些对策,比较有针对性。该研究旨在使直接教学和构建主义相结合,增强师生之间的关系,让更多的学生提高学习英语的兴趣和主动性,并且对大学英语教学甚至其他课程教学提供必要的参考依据。

Chapter 1  Introduction

1.1 Theoretical Basis
Flipped classroom teaching mode, as the most popular classroom teaching mode, has posed a threat to old traditional teaching method in the educational circles. The flipped classroom mode is that the student master basic knowledge gets through modern information auxiliary means at extracurricular time and in the class, they make all the knowledge intrinsic through teacher-student discussion, student-student discussion. Students learn and master knowledge no longer relying on teachers, but through the internet. Students become initiative, and then teachers become subsidiary. Flipped learning is a method developed by teachers for teachers, a grassroots movement getting traction with the people possessed firm ideal real ability to change education: classroom instructors.[2]
 As an English learner, on the way to learn English, we always get stale because we often meet some problems. After a period of time’s accumulation, we will lose interest in English. In the process of writing, we used some research methods to prove that flipped classroom mode is beneficial to enhance students’ ability of autonomous learning and class participation, so as to improve the learning interest and initiative of English.

1.2 Flipped Classroom Teaching Mode Research Status at Home and Abroad
At present, flipped classroom teaching mode is welcomed by many schools in the United States. The reason is why this teaching mode is so popular in the United States on account of two major factors. Part of them is, in the United States, only 69% American students from high school can graduate successfully from school. And every year in 1 million 200 thousand of the students on an average of 7200 people dropped out of school every day. To change present situation they must choose some effective and novel teaching mode. Another reason is that network video has been used widely in the middle of the class. In 2007, 15% of the audience used online education video to learn. In 2010, the number of viewers increased to 30%. [3] The online course involves not only the history of arts and extended to mathematics, physics and economics. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 30 cities in 20 states and 2 states in turning the flipped classroom teaching mode by the beginning of 2012.
Although flipped classroom teaching mode starts later in China than some other foreign countries, the experts and the professors who involved the field of educational technology all have paid great attention to it. Some of them are middle-rank primary and middle school teachers. They are also carrying a positive practice. In Chinese Journal Full Text Database, with the theme of "flipped classroom teaching mode" on searching, there are a total of 167 relevant literatures. In these research results, there are only 18 articles which are related to the language course. According to preliminary statistics, Chinese researchers from many provinces, districts and cities have published some articles about the flipped classroom teaching mode in Chinese Academic Journals during recent three years. The teaching mode is being implemented in a lot of universities, middle schools and secondary vocational schools. Among them, it has a positive effect in Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing, Chongqing and Guangzhou. The educational expert of our country were carrying flipped classroom teaching mode, At the same time, they devoted to explore the teaching reform that is suitable for China’s national conditions especially the reform of curriculum. 1.3 Research Objective
This topic research aims to let more teachers and students study the effect of flipped classroom teaching mode on students’ interest in English learning; Make the construction and direct teaching of the principle combine; Promote the development of teacher-student relationship; Spur more students increase English learning interest and improve learning initiative; Inspire teachers to turn on the teaching mode efficiently and make it become stable to maximize its positive role in English teaching.
