Abstract： Feline diabetes mellitus is a endocrine disease caused by the absolutely or relatively deficiency of insulin, which causes the disorder of glycometabolism and the secondary metabolic disorders of fats, proteins, vitamins, water and electrolytes. It is characterized by hyperglycemia and diabetes, with clinical symptoms as polydipsia, polyuria, polyphagia and weight loss. The state of feline diabetes mellitus is complicated ,which bring some difficulties to diagnosis and treatment. This paper is about a case of diabetic feline, combining with literature review, analyzing the common causes of the disease, summarizing the methods of clinical diagnosis and laboratory diagnosis, discussing the method of making a blood glucose curve and the significance in the treatment of feline diabetes mellitus, introducing the prevention measures, providing reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of diabetic felines.

随着饲喂水平和动物医疗水平的提高，宠物寿命的延长，老龄宠物数量越来越多，宠物老年病也越来越多，猫糖尿病就是其中之一。猫糖尿病是一种多因性慢性内分泌紊乱疾病，其主要是由胰岛素的绝对或相对不足，引起高血糖和糖尿，导致糖类、脂肪、蛋白质及其他一系列的代谢紊乱。其典型的临床表现为多饮、多尿、多食和体重减少的“三多一少”症状。猫糖尿病分为Ⅰ型糖尿病、Ⅱ型糖尿病和其他特殊类型糖尿病（继发性糖尿病）。其中猫的Ⅱ型糖尿病居多，Ⅰ型糖尿病较少见。
